Hello all,

The Christmas lights are out and the snow is starting to stay on the ground. Morgane is switching daycares – to the local CPE (early childhood education center) near our home. It’s right across the street from the place that makes fresh bagels. She went today to check it out and was impressed by both the carrots and the chocolate cake on the lunch menu.

I am sick for the third time this school term and fed up with it. In any case, the term is coming to an end. Just lots of oral presentations to watch – my students are presenting proposals to ask for funding for their projects to reduce violence in schools, improve the city of Laval, or create an awareness campaign or reality show. Next term I will be switching to the highest level to teach the students who are really bilingual. So, what do you teach bilingual students in a second-language course?

Ghis has been on the road a lot, opening stores, but as of Thursday night, he’ll be home and taking some well-deserved time off. As well as work, he’s been supervising the contractors who were supposed to finish the renovations on the house. We finally had our enery-efficiency test and it didn’t go as well as we hoped. There is still work to be done, but no more deadline, at least.
