Goodbye for now to our dear Wolfville friends. May we meet again.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Finally – the day of the pumpkin regatta. Sunshine. Crisp fall weather. We began the day with a gourd hunt. Morgane and the other kids had to find as many gourds as they could and the child who found the golden gourd got a special prize. Everyone got to take their gourds home, too.<\/p>\n

Then we watched the pumpkin parade and got a preview of the competitors’ PVCs (personal vegetation crafts).<\/p>\n

The regatta itself was fun. First there was a motorized category, but there were only three of them. The paddlers were more fun to watch and there were 53.<\/p>\n

They left from the far side of the lake and it was hard waiting until they got close enough to take a picture.<\/p>\n
