Walking in Sherbrooke

Looking at Sherbrooke from Mont Bellevue

One reason for moving to Sherbrooke was so we could spend more time in the outdoors. We want to do a hike every week, at least.

There is a walk a couple of blocks from the house that goes around a lake (Lac des Nations). It’s called a Zone Zen. That means relax, keep your cool, and let others relax, too.

Signs of spring
These sticky burrs are what inspired the invention of velcro.

We also went up Mt. Bellevue. It’s more like a hill, really, but there’s a ski hill big enough for kids and some tubing in the winter. We walked along the nature trails and spotted signs of spring. We saw a marmot, too, and pussywillows.

Mont Bellevue, like most high places in Quebec, has a big cross that is lit up at night.
