Skills for Travelling Gypsies

I made this! If you have to ask, it’s a rabbit.DSC09014

I’ve been thinking about what kinds of skills might come in handy for a family of travelling gypsies. How can we improve and entertain ourselves in our spare time? So, I’ve gathered one diabolo. I’m thinking that one of us will figure it out by the end of the trip. And I also bought the balloon pump and a small instruction book on making cheery little balloon friends. Sometimes they go POP.

I’ve also downloaded a few new apps for my iphone. The first lets me (or M) place all 50 American states, one at a time, on a map. If you don’t put the state in the right spot, then it shows you where to place it. Already I’m learning a lot about what’s between Florida and Texas.

There’s another app that teaches kids about money. Money (American, of course) falls off the money tree and as you help a pig collect it in a basket, it shows how much money you have gathered.

We are both handy with guitars and Morgane is getting good at knock-knock jokes. So add your comment if you can think of any other skills we should be honing during these last days of preparation…
