Swami’s Meditation Gardens

A lizard we spotted in the backyard. He was very sleepy.

I took off on my own to do a little exploring and, after exploring the Patagonia store (again), I ended up at Swami’s Meditation Gardens.

A natural looking water fountain.
Sunlight brightens a single flower.

The gardens are open to the public and are full of quiet places to sit and think. I saw a couple working on a drawing together.

Cacti in the gardens.
The combination of the ocean and the plants is beautiful.

There is also a view over the ocean and I could see the many surfers at Swami’s Beach. In black wetsuits, they looked like a gathering of seals in the water.

Surfers at Swami's.
Very large fish meander in shady pools.

  1. The orange flower (clivia) is one of my very favorites!!!! I have a plant like that at home (my mom has the original mother plant I got from Diane 18-19 years ago!!!!) [wow, nostalgia. I sure got excited, didn’t I?]
