The weather was nice and we saw some amazing spots today. First, Ghis and Morgane took me to Look Off so I could see the view for myself. It was pretty amazing.

Then we drove to Hall’s Harbour and almost missed it, but we caught a glimpse of a beach and then found the little road leading down to it.
This was the Bay of Fundy that I had been waiting to see. The tide was way out and as we started walking across the rocky sand, we discovered a waterfall! The water from the waterfall flowed down to the ocean’s edge and Morgane and I couldn’t find anywhere to cross. Then Carmanah plunged in and swam across and we were stuck on opposite shores! We walked her up to a wider but more shallow spot and pulled her back to our side.

While Morgane and I explored, Ghis spent his time talking with a local cabin dweller who showed us photos of the harbour 100 years ago. Seemed like a lively place with a wharf and ships and a mill – all things that are gone now.

We came back to the house so Morgane could play with Zoe. They had a good time. Mostly. A few sharing squabbles, but they parted with hugs.
Brogan let me help plant the garlic for next year and the girls were happy to help separating the cloves.

We had an amazing dinner with our new friends. Wonderful tomato sauce made with fresh tomatoes. Deep-fried zucchini with egg and feta cheese (and Ghislain’s good BBQed eggplants with tomato sauce and parmesan – NFG – Note From Ghislain). Excellent conversation. Now we are off to bed.
Tomorrow is Farmer’s Market outside the library, so that’s where I’ll be in the morning. We still haven’t been to the winery in Grand Pre. How will we find the time to do everything there is to do?
