It’s nice to have a lazy morning. Ghis is gone to the internet cafe. Morgane and I are hanging out. She has put a few sea snails in a jar and has been observing them.
I will probably start serving my own tables tonight. I’m wondering if I can find some black shoes today. The blouse I bought at a discount store at a nearby stripmall and the shoes were 50% off at a second hand store. They are size 8, ALMOST my size. They feel okay for a few hours, but I hope to find something better.

Last night Ghis and I went for a drive. Morgane gets to hang out with Alexandrea and her babysitter (most nights, while her parents work in the restaurant). We discovered an old fishing village, like nothing I’ve seen before.
Carmanah has really taken to seafood and crunches any stinky shells she can find. The rest of the time, she spends lying in the grass in front of our apartment.

You don’t need to serch for subjects for photography, do you!
the fishing village is so different! I can’t beleive it’s in Canada.
Take care
Can you tell us more about this fishing village? I am writing to you from the swampy plain of North Carolina, so these weathered wooden houses are fascinating to me. Do people live there now? When did they live there?
What kind of fish???
Good questions! Nobody lives there now – the buildings are crammed full of lobster traps. It’s in a place called Launching. I’ll let you know if I find out anything more.
