Halifax Day 2

Today was sunny and beautiful and although I had planned to stay at the campground, I decided to go to Halifax again with Ghis and Morgane.

Before we left, we met a couple with a van just like ours. We compared modifications. The bottom bed is not working well for Ghis and me, but Ghis has located a product made for this exact problem that might help us.

Tonight we’re putting the mattress in the tent to sleep. I hope to have a good sleep for a change! I can handle one bad night. After two I get grumpy. After three I go loopy.

We caught the free bus (FRED) and rode up to the Citadel. Morgane really wants to see artifacts from the Titanic, but we didn’t want to spend the sunny day inside, so we will go tomorrow. The citadel was nothing compared to Louisbourg. The guards were interesting and there was a nice view of the city but not much else happening.

Another gun demonstration - slightly more modern than at Louisbourg.

After we went to Mountain Equipment Coop and bought Morgane a bright red raincoat. Then I headed back and Ghis and Morgane continued on to Pier 21, the famous immigration centre. Now we are all tired and mellow.
